Strictly Fluid is an interdisciplinary artist. She designs clothing, costumes and takes part in art projects that emerge from a conceptual context. Her creative process derives from a fluid approach where her professional background experience in contemporary dance & performance art coalesce with fashion, costume design and visual arts.
In her clothing store you’ll find “new designs” and “re_invented” (upcycled) unique garments that are all handmade. Her design approach is playful and artistic. She is interested in creating contrasts by, for example, taking the clothing piece out of its context and combining an exuberant textile with a relaxed/ casual silhouette.
The “re_invented” collection consists of preowned or never worn garments that have been thoughtfully chosen and creatively upcycled into one of a kind pieces. By reinventing existing garments into something new and exciting Strictly Fluid aspires to break the repetition of waste and create a more sustainable and conscious way of how we connect to our clothing. Instead of a label tab each garment has an individual embellishment to its own.

In their current work, Project SARA continues to reflect on environmental issues. Bruno Latour’s book “After Lockdown- A Metamorphosis” serves as a compass to reflect on the necessary re-orientation of earth’s inhabitants facing inevitable changes caused by climate mutation.
